Accordingly, in case a person entering Vietnam wishing to perform isolation at a hotel, resort, or other establishment selected as a concentrated isolation place and approved by the competent authority, the individual will pay for it. expenses for meals, accommodation, and living in the period of isolation for hotels, resorts, or other establishments are at the prices set by hotels, resorts, or other establishments.
In case persons entering Vietnam perform concentrated isolation at military barracks, military schools, other establishments designated by the competent state agency as a concentrated isolation place must pay for themselves. meal expenses are at 80,000 VND / day; the cost of serving daily living needs during medical isolation days is 40,000 VND / day.

The Prime Minister requires all foreigners entering Vietnam to purchase international health insurance with the scope of payment for medical examination and treatment in Vietnam in accordance with the period of stay in Vietnam.
At the same time, all cases of entry into Vietnam must comply with the test order Covid-19 and pay the medical establishment’s own cost at the current rates of medical services.
Regarding the cost of examination and treatment of Covid-19 disease, for Vietnamese people, it shall continue to be covered by the state budget according to the provisions of Clause 2, Article 48 of the Law on prevention and control of infectious diseases.
For foreigners, the Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Health to preside over and coordinate with relevant ministries and agencies to report to the Government soon for submission to the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and the National Assembly for consideration and amendment to Clause 2, Article 48 Law on prevention and control of infectious diseases to suit the actual situation.
Regarding the cost of examination and treatment for other diseases during the period of concentrated medical isolation, for people with health insurance, health insurance agencies, organizations and enterprises that pay part of the cost of examination and treatment within the scope of health insurance entitlement; Individuals pay for the patient’s copayments and out-of-scope health insurance expenses (if any).
For those who do not have health insurance, individuals shall pay the entire medical examination and treatment costs at the prices set by competent authorities in accordance with the law on medical examination and treatment.
The above provisions apply to cases of entry into Vietnam and centralized isolation from September 1, 2020.

As for the collection of isolation fees, testing costs for cases wishing to perform isolation at a hotel, resort, or other establishment selected as a centralized isolation place, it will be done from August 24. the direction of the Prime Minister in Official Dispatch No. 7038 of August 24, 2020, of the Office of the Government.
According to Official Letter 7038, individuals pay expenses for meals, accommodation, and living on isolated days for hotels, resorts, and other establishments at the prices set by hotels, resorts, or other establishments. At the same time, must comply with the test order according to the professional requirements of the medical agency and pay the cost of testing to the medical facility at the current price of medical services.
The state budget covers the costs including fumigation, disinfection, support for the security guard, security and order, and other expenses as prescribed by law at hotels and resorts. and another establishment is selected as a concentrated isolation place.
Expenses for examination and treatment of Covid-19 disease continue to be covered by the state budget according to the provisions of Clause 2, Article 48 of the Law on Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases.
The Prime Minister also assigned the Ministry of Finance to assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with the Ministries: National Defense, Health, and relevant agencies to urgently propose the rates of accommodation fees during the period of isolation in military barracks, military schools, and other establishments selected by competent state agencies as concentrated isolation places to submit to the Prime Minister and the Government for consideration and decision.
